We always know when Dan Gallo shows up its gonna be a school day 🙂
This weekend he brought his Dalton and Ultimate.
The Dalton was flying the IMAC patterns really well, the Ultimate was doing some freestyle.
I mean DG type freestyle, not your average loop and roll 🙂
The pictures show both planes.
I guess like most clubs when DG spins a plane up everybody takes a seat and watches the show 🙂
Trekking…
On Sunday, I decided to go for a long walk along with Nick and Mike.
This wasn’t because I wanted to go walking it was because I lost another damn canopy!
We walked miles looking for it. No luck. Turns out it was in another part of the field completely. Thankfully, it was found on Monday by our Mr Futaba. The good news is thats its found. The bad news is I now owe him coffee’s for a while 🙁
He even broke a shoe walking out to get it.
Coffee Breakthrough…
One of the major breakthroughs that you get when training people is when they do the first solo activity. Gets you a warm fuzzy feeling. I got this on Sunday when after almost two years of training one of my students managed to put the kettle on, make the coffee and, get this… brought it out to us. The last part surprised all of us, in fact there was the sound of a collective intake of breath from us all. The picture shows him delivering it.
Now if only we can get a few more up to speed. Live in hope.
Chairman issues !
Our chairman (a.k.a Barron Von Guthrie, The Red Car-Man) turned up with a plane. However, on his first flight of the day there was an actual in-air crash. I didn’t see it as was busy canopy hunting, but what a bang it made. Everybody stared at the sky as an assortment of bits from both planes fell to the ground. Unfortunately, both models were totalled. The pic shows the carnage.
